Four questions we will ask you
- When did you become a Florida resident, and do you have a Florida driver license yet? Florida requires new residents to get a Florida license within 30 days of establishing residency. You also need Florida insurance to title and register your car.
- Who will drive, and what is each driver’s history? We will ask about licenses, past insurance and any accidents. How insurers treat driving history from another country varies by insurer.
- What are you insuring? It could be a house, a condo, a rental unit, a car, a business or your family’s income. Each needs a different policy.
- What coverage did you have before? Bring your declarations pages, or any policy from another state. Continuous prior insurance can matter to insurers.
What is not covered (honest limits)
- Policy documents are issued in English; we explain them in your language. The written policy, including its exclusions, is what counts.
- State-minimum auto coverage is thin. For most drivers, Florida requires $10,000 of PIP and $10,000 of property damage liability. Neither pays for injuries you cause to others.
- Flood is excluded from standard home and condo policies and needs a separate policy.
- Eligibility depends on underwriting. A foreign license, a short US driving record or an older roof can limit options. We’ll tell you honestly what we can and can’t do.

Can I get car insurance with a foreign or international license?
That depends on the insurer and on underwriting. Keep in mind that Florida requires new residents to get a Florida driver license within 30 days of establishing residency. Call us with your situation and we’ll tell you what may be possible.
Will my policy documents be in Russian?
No. Policy documents are issued in English; we explain them in your language. We go through the declarations page, limits, deductibles and exclusions with you in Russian, so you know what you are signing.
Can you help with a claim in Russian?
Yes. We help you report the claim, explain what the insurer is asking for and follow up. The insurer adjusts the claim and decides coverage under your policy.
